Event Details

In this advanced class for veteran teachers, participants explore instructional practices that dramatically increase motivation, confidence, and achievement at all ability levels. Participants read, discuss ideas, observe instruction, and study outcomes with real students in a full-sized classroom laboratory.

This is a collaborative learning experience where all participants challenge themselves and their colleagues to confront and solve a variety of problems that can compromise the learning environment in a workshop classroom. Working together, everyone will discover better ways to meet the unique writing needs of their students.

If you are a working parent, your child can attend summer class sessions with you! Children of participating teachers may attend the 4th-12th grade writing lab that accompanies the class free of charge. Go to http://imeet.sjcoe.net/wtw/ for detailed information about our “Writing & Technology Workshop” programs, and contact Melissa King at (209) 838-2115 to get special enrollment code. (Please register right away -- interested teachers must submit online enrollment applications before all of the student slots are filled!)
